::In a world that is increasingly moving away from reading and that is experiencing the seemingly unstoppable phenomenon of the disappearance of many of its venerable bookstores, it is a relief to see that a relatively new shopping mall bucked the trend. Librairie Antoine is a welcome addition to the tens of shops and restaurants in Beirut Souks and offers an alternative space that appeals to people of all ages. There is room for improvement, especially in the way of trimming prices to encourage all of us to read and visit more.

::Lovely bookstore with so many options in English, Arabic, and French. Bit pricey, however. Nevertheless, staff are super friendly and will help locate a book for you at another Antoine branch if they don’t have it in stock. They even Google authors if you need extra support on something. A cafe (GRID) is conveniently attached to the second floor of the store which is useful.

::I love this place , 3 floors of books and friendly workers
David Haddad
::The cafe is a hidden spot accessible through the book shop allowing you to enjoy a view of the inner restaurant court while sipping coffee to the nostalgic smell of books and paper!
