  One of the rare Historical monuments that have been spared from destruction that took place in the near-by during the Civil war. The history of old Phoenicia is very well represented, as well as the remaining historical great events of Lebanon. From the Greek dominance to the prestige of the Roman empire. As well as Arabic and Ottoman Era that was deeply engraved in the Lebanese conscience. It's a place not to miss while you are in Beirut.

  Bellissimo museo, notevole la protezione e il recupero dei reperti dopo la guerra che ha dilaniato il paese. A questo proposito raccomando la visione del bel documentario che viene continuamente proiettato. Tra i sarcofagi romani più belli che io abbia visto e gli unici e imperdibili sarcofagi antropomorfi, con un'esposizione mozzafiato. Per non parlare dei bellissimi mosaici, le statuine votive dell'età del bronzo, alcuni reperti egizi. Francamente avrei trascorso almeno tre, quattro ore a godermi tutti i reperti, invece delle sole due ore. Sicuramente piacerà anche ai bambini.

  Unbedingt einen Besuch wert. Nicht zu überfrachtet, wie viele anderen.

  Das Museum zeigt, wie reich an Kunst die Geschichte des Libanons ist. Wirklich sehr toll, muss man bei seinem Besuch in Beirut gemacht haben!
